Events
WTB sponsors many events through the year. Each is designed to bring together women from different faith traditions and religions. It's a great way to meet people and to learn the many ideas, beliefs and traditions that we share.
Blood Drive
We held our first interfaith blood drive in March, 2009, and it was a great success. We hope to do this annual. To read more about it, click here.
Book Club
Women meet monthly in homes to discuss a book -- the sharing and insights are intriguing, inspiring and thought-provoking. Read more about our Book Club here or get a list of books read in the past several years here.
Duck Race
WTB has hosted a booth for several years at the InterFaith Works' Duck Race which supports its Community Wide Dialogue to End Racism Project. This provides a great opportunity to network with many non-profit and to spread the interfaith message of WTB to the thousands who come.
Fair Booths
 |
Each year we staff a booth at various festivals, crafts events and fairs so we can meet other women and tell them about our diverse group. Here we are at the Westcott Fair parade. Read more here about these activities. |
International Dinners
We've held four international dinners -- yummy feasts with great conversation, new friends and inspirational speakers. We've raised money for programs here in CNY and around the world. To see pictures of the latest two, click the years below:
Tent of Abraham
This ambitious project in 2007 took people on a walking tour of many houses of worship in the University area, ending at Hendricks Chapel. Read more about it here.
