Have you ever watched a duck on the water? It seems to glide along so gently on the top. But underneath the water, its webbed feet are paddling away.

We need a lot of paddlers to keep WTB not just afloat, but swimming around in our own little pond, while considering that larger body of water that is really only a heartbeat away. Our experience shows that when everyone does a little bit, the big job gets done!

We hope that you might be willing to take a hour or two a month, even a couple hours a week, to help WTB achieve its goals of education, sharing and service. We truly believe your involvement will bring back to you more blessings that you give.

WTB is organized into six committees that would welcome your participation:

The Membership/Outreach Committee helps set a warm, welcoming presence at our meetings, nurtures new members and seeks out women to join WTB and add to our diversity.

The Program/Planning Committee determines the topics of meetings and recruits speakers and panelists.

The Service Committee recommends the projects for WTB and helps plan and organize them. Our goal is to cross boundaries and bring together women who might otherwise not work together. Working side-by-side we will have opportunities to get to know each other while we’re doing good work.

The Finance Committee ensures that we have financial support for our work. It oversees the budget.

The Nominating Committee works to see that WTB’s governing body, the Council, remains a diverse group, representing many of the faith traditions. It proposes members for election to the Council and Advisory Board and as officers.

The Public Relations Committee assists media who are covering WTB and develops printed materials and this website.
